How this is worked out
- 2026 IRS rates for a single person, plus the solidarity surcharge above €80,000.
- Freelancer in the simplified regime: tax on 75% of revenue; Social Security of 21.4% on 70% of revenue, capped. Business expenses do not lower the tax in this regime.
- Company: salary costs 23.75% employer and 11% employee Social Security; IRC at 15% on the first €50,000 of profit and 19% above, plus a 1.5% municipal surcharge; all remaining profit paid out as dividends taxed at 28%.
- Accountant at our prices: €70/month for a freelancer, €160/month for a company, without VAT.
- Not included: the reduced taxable share and Social Security exemption for new freelancers, VAT, IRS deductions and keeping profit in the company. It is an estimate, not advice.
